Kirakishou

Summary

Kirakishou serves as the authentic seventh doll of the Rozen Maiden, distinguishing herself from her imitation, Barasuishou, through both appearance and nature. While Barasuishou wears an eyepatch over her left eye, Kirakishou possesses a living rose embedded in her right eye, and her attire differs significantly from that of the imposter. Her true capabilities mirror those depicted in the manga, where she demonstrates the power to manipulate rose vines, notably when she commandeers the body of Hina-Ichigo and when she traps Shinku and Suigintou during their initial encounters. Although the anime hints at abilities involving ice crystals that inspire Enju’s creation of Barasuishou, her canonical powers remain rooted in the manga’s portrayal. In the narrative, Kirakishou is described as an astral entity lacking a physical form, a state that fuels her intense desire for a real body. This nature allows her to drain energy from a medium without the need for a formal contract, a feat she demonstrates by exploiting Jun. Her physical presence is briefly shown at the conclusion of the final episode of Rozen Maiden träumend, where she observes Laplace no Ma dancing with two Rosae Mysticae in his grasp. Beyond this fleeting glimpse, the anime reveals no further details about her. However, her story continues in Rozen Maiden (2013), where she is seen at the beginning hijacking Hina-Ichigo’s body, marking a significant departure from the experiences of her other sisters.
