Summary
Kenji Harima stands 180 cm tall and was born on December 1 with Type O blood. He serves as the male protagonist of the story and is an ex-delinquent deeply in love with Tenma. Although he does not follow any specific martial arts discipline, his hand-to-hand combat skills are formidable, with few capable of matching him. Harima possesses the unique ability to communicate with animals and keeps a wide variety of exotic pets, which he has named after European monarchs. He also has a younger brother named Shuuji, who harbors feelings for Yakumo. Harima frequently struggles to confess his love to Tenma, fully aware that she has no romantic feelings for him and may even dislike him. Each time he gathers the courage to reveal his true emotions, unforeseen events always intervene to prevent him from succeeding. He must also navigate complicated dynamics with his classmate Eri, who is unsure whether she likes or dislikes him. Harima becomes extremely jealous when he sees Karasuma and Tenma together, but his attempts to separate them ironically end up drawing the pair closer. Ironically, Harima admires Nijō jō, the mangaka pen name used by Karasuma. To date, Tenma has never properly heard his confession. Harima also works as a mangaka with Yakumo serving as his assistant, a professional relationship that caused further misunderstanding, as it took a long time for Tenma to realize that Harima views their connection as strictly work-related.
