Summary
Badou Nails is a freelance journalist and photographer who is perpetually chain-smoking and wears an eye patch over his right eye, which he lost to an attack by Richter Berthein seven years ago. His emotional state fluctuates wildly depending on his nicotine levels, causing him to swing between extreme euphoria and murderous rage. He has an older brother named Dave, whom he believes is deceased; Dave was also a freelance journalist and is credited with influencing Badou’s early start in smoking and his choice of profession. In the story Dogs, he fights using a pair of Ingram MAC-10 machine pistols.
