Summary
Kayo makes her debut during the Bakeneko arc of Ayakashi. Having previously endured trauma at the Sakai mansion, she seeks a fresh start and travels by boat to Edo. Throughout the journey, she relies on and holds deep admiration for the Medicine Seller, viewing him with greater trust than the other passengers.
