Summary
Kyouko is the 17-year-old cousin of Tsukune, characterized as a stubborn tomboy who is fiercely overprotective of him. She arrives on the second day of the school festival while searching for Yōkai Academy, prompting Tsukune and his friends to attempt to hide both the supernatural nature of the school and her human identity from her and the authorities. Her entry into the yōkai world occurs when she is tasked with delivering a mysterious package containing the Lilith Mirror. This artifact houses a fairy that promises to grant any wish to its owner in exchange for their soul. Believing Tsukune is involved with the yakuza, Kyouko eventually discovers the true nature of the school following a chaotic encounter with the mirror. In the anime adaptation, she is referenced via a cell phone in the first series and appears in the seventh episode of the second series, where she deliberates on who should become Tsukune's girlfriend.
