Summary
Holo is a wolf harvest deity hailing from the northern land of Yoitsu. She once struck a pact with the residents of Pasloe, promising bountiful wheat harvests in exchange for their devotion. However, as the townspeople gradually ceased relying on her, she departed in Lawrence's wagon to explore how the world had changed. Though she appears as a young girl, she retains her large white-tipped wolf tail and ears, while her true form is that of a massive, revered wolf. Known as the "Wise Wolf of Yoitsu," she is haughty and self-sufficient, yet harbors deep loneliness from centuries of isolation. She relies on Lawrence for companionship, a vulnerability he recognizes and tries to soothe. Aware that human lifespans are fleeting compared to hers, she masks her fear with humor. Holo speaks in a manner reminiscent of oiran courtesans, delights in fine food and alcohol with a particular fondness for apples, and meticulously grooms her prized tail. The Japanese licensor confirmed that the proper spelling of her name is indeed Holo.
