Summary

Known as the "Holy Emperor," Souther stands as the sole master of Nanto Houou Ken, or South Star Phoenix Style, which is recognized as the most powerful variation within the Nanto Seiken lineage. This unique status makes him one of the most formidable combatants in the world of Hokuto no Ken. Like other styles of Nanto Seiken, his techniques feature sharp, slicing movements intended to inflict damage on the external body. However, his style diverges from its peers by lacking rigid stances or fixed movements, with the exception of a single, definitive form. When facing a worthy adversary, Souther reveals his ultimate technique, Nanto Houou Ken Ougi: Tenshou Juuji Hou. The path to becoming the sole master of Nanto Houou Ken demanded a terrible price, forcing Souther to kill his mentor and beloved foster father. This act left him embittered and enraged, leading him to declare that he had forever rejected the concept of love. In a twisted tribute to his father, he built the Holy Cross Pyramid using child slave labor, intending to bury his own emotions once its construction was complete. He proclaims his identity with the words, "I am the Holy Emperor Souther, Emperor of the Six Sacred Fists of the South Star! No retreat! No mercy! No hesitation!"
