Ogino, Chihiro

Summary

Chihiro is a shy and pessimistic ten-year-old girl whose story begins as she and her parents relocate to a new town. Her father’s navigation error leads them to what he believes is an abandoned amusement park, which is actually a bath house for spirits that opens at night. After her parents consume food intended for the spirits, they are transformed into pigs. Although Chihiro tries to flee, Haku advises her to take a job at the bath house under Yubaba’s employment, hoping she can eventually find a way to restore her parents to their human forms.
