Summary
Van Argiano serves as the lead scientist for Cinq Flèches, specializing in the study of chiropterans. He oversaw the creation of Delta 67 while operating under Solomon and collaborating with his assistant, Archer. Following Solomon’s defection, Amshel promoted Van to lead the American branch of Cinq Flèches. Although fully aware of the organization’s true objectives, Van chose to align himself with the chiropterans, assisting them in their global expansion efforts. He is frequently depicted consuming a specific type of hard candy. Van was subsequently betrayed at the Metropolitan Opera House, where he was kept in the dark about the scheme to transform the attendees into chiropterans. His American contact, Secretary of Defense Grant, abandoned him to confront the monsters alone, but he was ultimately rescued by David. By the conclusion of the series, Van is transported to trial to answer for his criminal actions. It is also revealed that his assistant, Archer, was actually a government investigator who had infiltrated Cinq Flèches to collect evidence against them.
