Summary
Tazuna, known as the bridge builder, is a bespectacled, grey-haired man with a moustache. Upon his first introduction, he was dressed in a sleeveless V-neck shirt, pants, sandals, and an obi, accessorized with a towel draped around his neck and a pointed hat. In Part II, he maintained this same attire, a style that Inari began to emulate. Tazuna’s goal was to construct a bridge linking the Land of Waves to the mainland to restore its economic stability, a move that directly opposed Gatō’s interests. Aware that Gatō would attempt to assassinate him, Tazuna lacked the funds for proper protection. Consequently, he hired Team 7 under the false claim of needing defense against bandits, classifying the job as a C-rank mission to lower the cost. Unlike many of his fellow citizens, Tazuna possessed the courage to defy Gatō despite knowing the severe repercussions. After the events concluded, he honored Naruto Uzumaki’s bravery by naming the completed structure the Great Naruto Bridge.
