Shirayuki, Mizore
Summary
Mizore Shirayuki is a yuki-onna who shares a homeroom with Tsukune and Moka, often spotted sucking on a lollipop. Her attire features the standard Yokai Academy girls’ uniform, consisting of a short yellow plaid skirt, a black tank top, and a white wide-necked sweater with blue sleeves, paired with mismatched pink and violet stockings and a belt wrapped around her left thigh. Initially introduced after a delayed return to school, she appears as a lonely, misunderstood, and somewhat depressed girl who becomes infatuated with Tsukune, even compiling a scrapbook of his newspaper articles. Her past trauma stems from a teacher who exploited her feelings; she froze him in retaliation, leading to rumors that made her distrustful of others. She began to trust Tsukune after he intervened when the teacher returned to kill her, though this event also triggered her obsessive habit of spying on him from hundreds of locations. Although she initially had long hair, she cut it short once the truth was revealed. In the second serialization, she resolves to follow Tsukune forever, regardless of his romantic feelings. A running gag involves her appearing unexpectedly in odd places to freeze any girl who gets too close to Tsukune. Possessing the ability to manipulate snow and ice, she forms ice claws around her hands and can create fragile, independent copies of herself or others. Like other ice creatures, she is sensitive to fire, an incident highlighted when she accidentally froze a curry dish after burning her hand.
