Minki
Summary
Minki serves as the youngest and most destructive, albeit annoying, female sibling within the Oni family. While she shares similar power levels with her older brothers Baki and Zekki, her strength is uniquely derived from a pair of panties she wears, adhering to the legend that an Oni's spiritual power resides in their underwear or loincloth. After accidentally losing her panties in the human world, Minki crosses over to retrieve them, inadvertently causing everyone at Doumori Elementary to become nude in the process. Although she eventually recovers the item, which was being worn by the perverted Ishikawa-sensei, Nūbē confiscates them. In an unexpected move, he forces Minki to join his class, believing that without her panty-based powers, she is a quiet, nice girl who requires guidance. Despite her initial eccentricity, Minki displays a protective and kinder nature, defending her classmates in a manner similar to Nūbē. However, upon retrieving her panties, she regains her full demonic power and hostile attitude, attacking her teacher and specifically exhibiting hatred toward the male students. During the climax of her rampage, just as she is about to destroy the school, her panties fall off again, halting her attack and nearly killing her. Nūbē saves her, viewing her as different from other Oni and granting her a second chance in the human world. Unlike her siblings, Minki is the only Oni sibling who does not possess a full demonic form. Her appearance, characterized by scant clothing and demonic hands and feet, retains more of a human aesthetic than those of Zekki or Baki, a design choice possibly influenced by the American comic series Witchblade. Additionally, two horn-like protrusions that facilitate her long pigtails remain visible in both her human and Oni forms.
