Aomine, Daiki

Summary

Daiki Aomine, whose name translates to Great Shine of the Blue Peak, is a 16-year-old Power Forward currently attending Touou Academy, having previously played for Teiko. Standing at 192 cm with a weight of 85 kg, he wears number 6 for his former team and number 5 for his current one. Born on August 31 under the Virgo sign, he has a B blood type and enjoys teriyaki burgers and looking up gravure idols in his free time. As the former ace of Teiko, Aomine utilized an aggressive and fluid style that was amplified by Kuroko’s misdirection. Before Kagami, he served as Kuroko’s Light. His gameplay is defined by incredible speed, versatility, and unpredictability, allowing him to execute Formless Shots and play in the Zone with ease. He also practices Freestyle Basketball, showcasing his unique skill set. In his second year of middle school, Aomine inspired Kise to take up basketball, becoming his training partner and mentor. Despite Kise being a rookie who relied solely on his copying ability, Aomine continued to train with him out of a genuine love for the sport. During this period, Aomine rose to become the ace of the team, teaching Kise significantly and establishing himself as an idol figure. However, his passion has shifted toward sardonic apathy. He often skips practice and arrives late to important matches because he is frustrated by the lack of opponents who can match his abilities. This has led him to believe that only he himself can defeat him. Despite his outward indifference, he maintains a sibling-like bond with his childhood friend, Momoi, to whom he is secretly quite fond.
