Unit 55 Troop Leader
Summary
Making his debut in Episode 201, the Unit 55 Troop Leader is part of a strategic maneuver orchestrated by Jonathan. Rather than immediately chasing the Straw Hats, Jonathan chooses to lay an ambush for them at Dock 88, the location where the Going Merry is moored, confident that the crew will head there. He assigns Lieutenant Commander Drake to establish the trap at the dock. Anticipating that Drake will require time to reach the site, Jonathan deploys Unit 55 to delay the Straw Hats and buy Drake the necessary time. The unit is stationed on the bridge, which serves as the sole access point to the ship.
