Summary
Junko Tonami is a student who sits beside Harima, notably appearing in scenes where Harima attempts to convince Tenma to sign her test paper. During the Survival Game arc, she joined the Cafe Faction. In the Cultural Festival’s Class Play, she appeared as the narrator, dressed in a cosplay of Saber from Fate/Stay Night. Although she has not been formally introduced with a confirmed identity in the series, she is widely known by the nickname "Rinko," coined by fans on School Rumble @ 2chan. This moniker, meaning "Next Girl," derives from her seating position next to Harima, yet her actual name has never been mentioned in the manga or anime. Despite this lack of formal introduction, she received a speaking role in episode 2 of School Rumble Season 2. In this scene, she infamously refers to Ishiyama Hiroaki as "the other guy," completing an insult started by Hanai Haruki. Strangely, she is officially credited in the cast as "Rinko," leaving it unclear whether this was an adoption of fan terminology or a coincidence by the producers. In the 3rd Character Popularity Poll, she competed as "2-C Girl #1," receiving 95 votes and placing 25th out of 66 candidates.
