Summary
Anita is Romeo's childhood friend who harbors a deep crush on him and resides in Sonogno Village. She dreams of marrying Romeo in the future. Upon learning that Romeo might die while working as a chimney sweep in Milan, she attempts to persuade him not to leave Sonogno. Unfortunately, Romeo has already resolved to go to Milan for the sake of his father, Roberto. Consequently, Anita becomes both angry and deeply saddened by his decision.
