Summary
Umizatou is an ayakashi that conducts interrogations of travelers who venture into the Dragon Triangle. He poses the critical question of what the individual fears the most. Regardless of whether the answer provided is truthful or a falsehood, responding to him causes the person to experience a manifestation of that specific dread. However, failing to answer results in the traveler being trapped within the sea for eternity.
