Summary
Akio Ogino is a 38-year-old man who serves as Chihiro's father. Known for his unshakable optimism and unreasonable confidence, he often disregards the unease his daughter feels, such as when he blindly leads her into a mysterious tunnel they stumbled upon. His careless nature is further highlighted by his tendency to help himself to food without permission, a mistake that leads to a dire consequence. By consuming the dishes meant for the gods, Akio is transformed into a pig, suffering the same fate as his wife.
