Summary
Born on February 18 under the Aquarius sign, Suigetsu Hōzuki is a male ninja who was 16 to 17 years old during Part II, standing 177.4 cm tall and weighing 57 kg with blood type B. He was formerly an experimental subject of Orochimaru and trained to become one of the Seven Swordsmen of the Mist, sharing several traits with its other members. Suigetsu possesses shark-like teeth and harbors a dark enjoyment of killing, which Kisame Hoshigaki describes as prodigious skill in murder, noting his habit of dismembering victims before beheading them. He is highly confident in his capabilities, evidenced by his repeated threats toward Sasuke Uchiha, and is known for his blunt speech and self-serving nature. Although he initially clashed with Sasuke, Suigetsu eventually accepted Sasuke’s authority and even risked his life to protect him. After joining Sasuke’s Hebi team, Suigetsu retrieves the giant Kubikiri Hōchō from Zabuza Momochi’s grave, wielding the massive blade with ease. During his time with Sasuke, he expresses a desire to obtain Kisame’s sword, leading Karin to speculate that he aims to collect all the weapons of the Seven Swordsmen. Suigetsu possesses the unique ability to liquefy his body at will, allowing him to reform his physical shape as needed. This power enables him to expand his limbs to proportionally increase his strength and renders him difficult to harm, as physical attacks pass through his watery form. Notably, he is the first ninja shown carrying water bottles, as he requires regular hydration to maintain his liquid state.
