Summary
Gime is a bounty hunter and warrior operating in Scrap Iron City, tracking targets for The Factory, the enigmatic entity that recycles scrap from Zalum and manufactures finished products there. He is a cybernetically enhanced master swordsman who wields two blades that can be joined at the pommels to create a single weapon. He was the hunter responsible for killing Yugo’s brother after the boy’s sister-in-law reported that her husband was constructing a forbidden aircraft bound for Zalum. Gime was present at Bar Kansas, a gathering spot for bounty hunters, when Gally, who had also become a hunter, was confronted by the fugitive and Chiren-upgraded cyborg gladiator Grewcica. He witnessed the ensuing battle between Gally and Grewcica, as well as Gally’s victory. Subsequently, Gally consistently secured every bounty offered by The Factory, aiming to use the funds to travel to Zalum with Yugo. However, circumstances shifted on a stormy night when a price was placed on Yugo’s head after he was caught stealing spinal components. Gime, aware of Gally’s affection for the boy and following her as Chiren had, located Yugo. He allowed the boy to return to his hiding spot for credit chips before striking, effectively killing him. Upon hearing Yugo’s scream, Gally rushed outside to find Gime standing over the body. He expressed disdain for Gally, accusing her of letting her feelings for prey cloud her judgment, and declared he would take Yugo’s head just as he had years prior with Yugo’s brother. The two hunters engaged in combat, but Gally was at a disadvantage against the more experienced Gime, despite her knowledge of Panzer Kursk. Gally executed a risky gambit by catching Gime’s sword as he prepared a killing blow, charging both the weapon and his body simultaneously. While the impact was insufficient to kill Gime directly, it was enough to attract a bolt of lightning from the stormy sky, reducing him to a pile of debris. Nearby, Chiren utilized her expertise as a cyberneticist to preserve Yugo’s head by integrating it into Gally’s life support systems. This allowed her to return Yugo to Daisuke Ito, who provided the boy with a new cybernetic body.
