Ryong, Mong
Summary
Mong Ryong was an idealistic young man who abandoned his village to become an Angyo onshi with the goal of rescuing his kidnapped lover, Chun Hyang, who was also known as Sando. His attempts to save her failed on at least three occasions. After Jushin fell, he was forced to return to his village empty-handed. During his journey back, he traveled through a desert where he saved Munsu from dying of thirst. Tragically, Mong Ryong later died when a tribe of man-eating monsters ambushed them. The hairband that Munsu wears originally belonged to Mong Ryong and was a gift from Sando.
