Hatanaka, Yuutarou
Summary
Yuutarou Hatanaka is an elite boxer from Teiken High who aims to compete in the Olympics. He initially clashes with Maeda, who defeats him using a wrestling technique. Due to Maeda’s significant weight advantage and the non-standard nature of that bout, doubts arise about the victory’s legitimacy. Maeda then challenges Hatanaka to a proper match, where Hatanaka soundly defeats the gaunt Maeda. He later departs Teiken to train at a renowned coastal university. While generally easy-going and cheerful, Hatanaka can be provoked to anger. He previously risked expulsion from Teiken due to a single error. Hatanaka maintains that Maeda is the only opponent to have knocked him down in a boxing match and considers his college peers inferior.
