Summary
Leivinia Birdway serves as a supporting figure in the special stories of Toaru Majutsu no Index, including the release by Dengeki Bunko and Toaru Majutsu no Index: Kanzaki SS. She is a twelve-year-old girl characterized by short blond hair, green eyes, and a petite build, typically seen wearing a pink dress that resembles an orange. She is the younger sister of Patricia Birdway and a skilled magician who has turned down numerous recruitment offers from various organizations. Her path crosses with Touma when he accidentally stumbles upon a meeting of a specific group, leading to a misunderstanding that causes them to suspect he is a spy for a rival faction. It is later revealed that she leads this organization, known as the Dawn-colored Sunlight, despite her young age. Leivinia makes an appearance at the conclusion of the first volume of the New Testament novels. For undisclosed reasons, she provides Touma, Shiage, and Accelerator with an explanation regarding magic, magic cabals, and the new threat facing both the Magic and Science sides. Although not an antagonist, she possesses extensive knowledge of current events and informs the three boys about the true cause of World War III.
