Summary
Androgynous and strikingly beautiful, Kaoru is a year older than Nanako yet shares the same class due to a mysterious illness that kept her away from school for a year. A natural leader, she serves as the class representative and captain of the basketball team. Possessing a noble and generous spirit, she cannot tolerate injustice or the abuse of power. Her nickname, "Kaoru-no-kimi" (Prince Kaoru), references the legendary beauty and divine fragrance of Kaoru Udaisho from the ancient tale Genji Monogatari. Renowned for her intense vitality and love of life, she is Saint Just’s closest friend, often scolding Rei for neglecting Saint Just’s health. Her heart remains tied to someone very close to Nanako, a deep relationship she ultimately chose to end.
