Summary
Higelyges, known as Brownbeard, is a colossal and obese figure standing approximately three times taller and four times wider than an average human. He sports a long brown beard with three distinct braids, a mustache, and hair that emerges from the top of his tricorne hat, braided backward. His attire consists of a large coat worn over an open shirt that barely reaches his shoulders, leaving his chest bare except for what appears to be a wrestling belt displaying his jolly roger. Following Whitebeard's death, Brownbeard seized control of Foodvalten, a New World island previously under Whitebeard's protection. His tenure was short-lived, as he soon encountered the Hawkins Pirates. Basil Hawkins provoked him by questioning his identity, prompting Brownbeard to boast about his bounty exceeding 80 million and his glory. Hawkins mocked his name as ridiculous and, drawing his sword, predicted that he saw the shadow of death upon Brownbeard. The ensuing battle resulted in Brownbeard and his crew losing their legs to Hawkins. They subsequently fled to Punk Hazard, where Caesar Clown provided them with artificial limbs. Later, using Trafalgar Law's Devil Fruit ability, their legs were transformed into alligator legs, turning Brownbeard into an alligator centaur and enabling him to walk once more.
