Witch on the Holy Night Unveils Dual Key Visuals, Phone Game Day-and-Date

TYPE-MOON and ufotable turned FGO Fes. 2026 into a full Mahoyo showcase. The theatrical adaptation of Mahōtsukai no Yoru—Witch on the Holy Night—unveiled a paired “double visual” set: a special key illustration by series art director Hirokazu Koyama, and a second key visual painted by the film’s own studio. Both images lean hard into the late-’80s magecraft mood that has defined the visual novel since its 2012 release.
The bigger calendar play may be the software drop. The original game is headed to smartphones on November 20, 2026—the same day the anime film opens in Japanese theaters. Console and PC fans already have the story; this mobile port aims to put Aoko’s apprenticeship in more pockets the moment the movie hits the big screen.
Returning voice cast remains locked in: Haruka Tomatsu as reluctant heir Aoko Aozaki, Kana Hanazawa as witch roommate Alice Kuonji, and Yūsuke Kobayashi as transfer student Soujyuro Sizuki. For Nasuverse regulars, the film is another high-stakes chapter after earlier Type-Moon × ufotable landmarks such as Fate/stay night and The Garden of Sinners—now with day-and-date game access built into the launch plan.
Advance movie tickets and a limited “Apprentice Mage Reader” booklet are already rolling out around the festival booth circuit, with wider theater sales set for late August. Full details live on the official film site as November 20 draws closer.
