Thunder 3 Drops Explosive Main Trailer and Key Visual

Fresh off its July 8 launch, Thunder 3 wasted no time dropping its main trailer and key visual to match the hype. The promo plunges three ordinary middle schoolers — Pyontaro, Tsubame, and Hiroshi, known as the Small 3 — into chaos after a strange disc from their teacher sucks Pyontaro's little sister Futaba into another dimension.

The newly released key visual places the trio in a transformed, high-stakes Shibuya overrun by flying battleships and massive weaponry as they confront the multiverse's threats. The accompanying main PV rides Yuuri's electrifying opening theme "Thunderbolt," mixing high-octane action with the group's signature mix of awkward charm and sudden power.

Studio UNEND handles animation under chief director Hiroyuki Seshita and director Keisuke Ide, with Hiroshi Seko on series composition and scripting. Additional cast members including Shogo Sakata as teacher Doku and others like Taito Ban and Ryoko Maekawa expand the world of allies and adversaries waiting across realities.

Adapted from Yuki Ikeda's Kodansha manga that wrapped earlier this summer, the series is now streaming worldwide on Netflix with simultaneous Japanese TV broadcasts. The latest reveals underscore its inventive blend of manga-style flair and grounded adventure, positioning Thunder 3 as one of the season's most distinctive new arrivals.
