Tank Chair Locks Oct. 4 Debut With Main PV, SiM OP & Fresh Cast

Fall 2026 just locked a pure chaos drop. Bandai Namco Filmworks has unveiled the main promotional video, a new key visual, expanded cast and staff, theme-song talent, and a hard premiere date for the TV anime of Manabu Yashiro’s Tank Chair—and the wheelchair-bound assassin saga is aiming straight at October 4.

Reggae-punk outfit SiM will thrash the opening with “DALALA,” while singer-songwriter Daoko closes each episode with “SYNC.” The package also adds Yurina Amami as genius recluse Dr. Radio and Gen Sato as Academy newcomer Uzu, plus a first look at Sensei—the Academy’s absolute ruler, painted as pure menace. Core leads remain Kōki Uchiyama (Nagi Taira), Minori Fujidera (Shizuka Taira), Gakuto Kajiwara (Naozumi Kurosaka), and Saori Hayami (Touko Kurosaka).

On the production side, Tadahiro Yoshihira and Hiroaki Ando co-direct and script at CG powerhouse Polygon Pictures, with Yūki Moriyama on characters, Masaru Yokoyama on score, and a deep CG/art crew now fully credited. Broadcast begins October 4 on Tokyo MX at 11:00 p.m. JST, then rolls to BS11, CBC, and MBS across the following nights.

Yashiro’s hyper-violent sibling recovery tale—Nagi in a weaponized chair, Shizuka weaponizing every assassin who can wake him—has already cleared a million copies worldwide and lives on Kodansha’s Monthly Shonen Sirius (with English via Kodansha USA and K MANGA). With SiM’s grit, Daoko’s edge, and Polygon’s CG muscle locked in, Tank Chair is lining up as one of fall’s loudest debuts.
