Sakamoto Days Blasts Past 18 Million as Shueisha Ships Volume 28

Shueisha just handed Sakamoto Days another victory lap. The official account for Yuuto Suzuki’s Weekly Shōnen Jump series confirmed that the ex-hitman comedy-action juggernaut has cleared 18 million copies in circulation worldwide, timed with the Japanese release of volume 28.
The milestone lands while the manga is deep in its endgame. After flagging a push toward the climax earlier this summer and kicking off its “final battle” stretch last August, the series is stacking sales even as the body count and stakes keep climbing—classic Jump energy with a family-man twist.
English readers can still catch up digitally through Viz Media and MANGA Plus, while the anime adaptation (Netflix and Japanese TV in 2025) already proved the brand’s pull. Season 2 is locked for January 2027, so the print boom is only feeding a longer screen runway.
For a Jump title that started as a one-shot before going weekly in late 2020, 18 million is less a victory banner and more a warning shot: the Order’s war isn’t over, and neither is Sakamoto Days’ commercial heat. Volume 28 is on shelves now—perfect timing if you’re still catching up before the finale fully detonates.
