Mamoru Miyano Cast as Jet Link in Cyborg 009: Nemesis

The production team for Cyborg 009: Nemesis dropped a major casting update on Tuesday, tapping veteran seiyuu Mamoru Miyano to portray Jet Link, the American cyborg whose leg-mounted flight unit lets him dominate the skies at Mach 5.
Already boasting Yūki Kaji as the legendary Joe Shimamura / Cyborg 009, the project is stacking its roster with heavy hitters. The core 00 team now includes Saori Hayami as Françoise Arnoul / 003, Tomokazu Sugita as Albert Heinrich / 004, and several other established talents. A shadowy new group of cyborgs known as Nemesis brings its own star power, featuring Yūichi Nakamura, Ayane Sakura, Maaya Uchida and more in key roles.
Director Hideki Ambo and character designer sanorin lead the effort at studio Arect, with screenplay duties shared by Atsuhiro Tomioka and CHARATEX. The series will stream this summer and even revives a nostalgic theme song originally tied to the 1979 Cyborg 009 anime, complete with lyrics from creator Shotaro Ishinomori.
With Black Ghost still pulling strings in the shadows and a new generation of enhanced warriors entering the fray, Miyano's addition promises thrilling aerial sequences and nuanced performances that honor the franchise's enduring questions about war, justice, and humanity.
