Free Fire Daybreak Drops First Trailer Ahead of Spring 2027

Garena’s globe-spanning mobile battle royale Free Fire just took a louder step toward anime stardom. After locking a Spring 2027 window and a sleek key visual earlier this week, the project—now titled Free Fire Daybreak—has unleashed its first official trailer, giving fans a kinetic peek at the series’ superpowered street fights and neon-soaked cityscape.

The story plants 16-year-old Kelly in the near-future metropolis of New Dawn, a city under the thumb of the Horizon Corporation. Robbed of her memories and drawn into the experimental “Project Bloom,” she awakens Limit Break—an ability that can unseal almost anything—and teams up with new allies to peel back a conspiracy threatening the city’s future. Expect high-stakes combat, recovered fragments of the past, and a battle-action tone built for both game fans and anime newcomers.

Studio CANDYBOX is animating the series, with Ken Takahashi directing, Hotaru Asafuji on series composition and scripts, and Kouji Fujimoto (Sus4 Inc.) scoring the soundtrack. Co-produced by Garena and KADOKAWA, Free Fire Daybreak is slated to air and stream worldwide—including Japan—when spring 2027 arrives. For a franchise that has dominated mobile downloads for years, this PV is the first real taste of how that battlefield will look on the small screen.
