Cheat Fuyo Stacks Action Teaser and Full Production Bench for Fall

The official site for The Laid-Off Cheat-Granting Mage Enjoys a New Life — the long-running "Cheat Fuyo" fantasy better known by its Chi-Fuyo shorthand — has rolled out a second teaser promotional video and a sizable wave of additional production credits. The TV anime is locked for an October 2026 premiere on TV Tokyo and sister channels, giving the adaptation a clear Fall runway.

The new slate fills out the craft side of the show. Noboru Sugimitsu joins for monster design and action animation direction, Kayoko Nabeta is listed for main animation, and Hiromi Makino handles prop design. Color, art, and camera roles land with Kazu Doi, Youko Kamiyama, Risa Iwatsuki, and Youichirou Satou, while special effects, 3D, 2D design, and editing round out the bench. On the audio side, Alisa Okehazama (Jujutsu Kaisen) scores the series, with Ryousuke Naya directing sound and Yasumasa Koyama on effects through Studio Mausu. Mitsuhito Tsuji serves as animation producer.

That deep bench sits under the already-announced core team: Shuu Honma directing at P.A. Works, Youko Yonaiyama on series composition, and Yuito Kiyosawa on character design. The action-focused teaser leans into combat and overpowered enhancement gags — the same fantasy of buffing anything, then canceling it at will, that made Asa Rokushima's web novel and Youmochi Gyoumu's Kodansha manga a long-running hit. With volume 21 of the manga already on shelves, the Fall 2026 window is shaping up as a full production showcase rather than a quiet soft launch.
