BokuYaba’s Final Lap: Dangers in My Heart Ends in 3 Chapters

Middle-school romance fans just got the countdown they half-dreaded. Chapter 196 of Norio Sakurai’s The Dangers in My Heart (Boku no Kokoro no Yabai Yatsu) states the series will wrap in three more chapters, locking the long-teased finish for tankōbon volume 14.

The announcement lands after an earlier note that the hit would conclude with its 14th compiled book. That final volume is slated for November 6, 2026 in Japan, with a special edition packing a “12th Middle School Graduation Album” art book of new Sakurai art, class-style spreads, and retrospective illustrations. English readers can keep pace through Seven Seas Entertainment’s ongoing release.

Sakurai launched the story in March 2018 at Akita Shoten’s Weekly Shōnen Champion before it settled on the Champion Cross (formerly Manga Cross) web platform. Over eight years it followed loner Kyotaro Ichikawa—whose dark daydreams soften the moment he actually hangs out with sunny classmate Anna Yamada—into one of modern rom-com’s most warmly received pairings.

Two TV seasons and a compilation film from Shin-Ei Animation already put the couple on screens worldwide; a third anime season is still on track for 2027. With only a handful of chapters left on the page, readers and rewatchers alike have a short window to savor the last stretch of middle-school heart-war before the credits roll.
