Aniplus Asia Secures Simulcast for Summer Romcom 'Rich Girl Caretaker'

Aniplus Asia announced it will simulcast the TV anime adaptation of Yusaku Sakaishi's light novel series Rich Girl Caretaker (Saijo no Osewa) for the summer season, giving regional viewers day-and-date access as the show hits Japanese airwaves.

The story follows ordinary high schooler Itsuki Tomonari, who ends up as the secret caretaker for Hinako Konohana, the stunning heiress to a powerful conglomerate who projects an image of flawless elegance but is actually hopelessly inept at basic life skills. Their arrangement at an elite academy full of refined young ladies sparks a heartwarming romantic comedy built on gap moe and budding affection.

Brains Base is producing the series under director Shūsei Morishita, with series composition by Aya Yoshinaga and character design by Nao Kawashima. The cast includes Yūto Uemura as Itsuki, Konomi Kohara as Hinako, Saori Ōnishi as Mirei Tennōji, Rio Tsuchiya as Narika Miyakojima, Ami Koshimizu as Shizune Tsurumi, Takehito Koyasu as Kagen Konohana, and Ami Maeshima as Karen Asahi. angela performs the opening theme "Sai Sai Saikōkyū no Osewa Shite," while Ami Maeshima sings the ending "Kanpeki Janai Watashi."

The source light novels from Hobby Japan's HJ Bunko label reached their eleventh volume last year, with an ongoing manga adaptation by Sorahiko Mizushima also running. The anime premieres July 4 in Japan on MBS and other networks, and Aniplus Asia's deal ensures fans across Southeast Asia can follow the charming tale without delay.
