Wim Strauss practices a rare form of magic known as "granting," which allows him to enhance his companions' abilities through his incantations. While certainly a handy skill, it offers no direct combat applications, and his fellow party members hold it in complete contempt. To them, a support caster is nothing but excess baggage, and they waste no time in casting him out. Suddenly unemployed, Wim begins to question whether his days as an adventurer have come to an end.
Fortunately, a lifeline appears in the form of Heidemarie, his childhood friend, who arranges for him to try out with her top-tier A-rank company, Nachtlibelle. She shares his conviction that his magic is capable of far more than simple auxiliary work, but now he must demonstrate that belief in action. The time has come to prove to the world that support mages belong on the front lines, not just behind them!
