In the Animation Park, home to the twelve zodiac animals, Le Yangyang takes the lead with the goal of spreading festive cheer across the globe. He assembles his generals to organize a grand Spring Festival celebration. But when they arrive at the park, they find it thrown into chaos by the mischief of the Nian beast. The Old General, who is the grandfather of one of the generals, spots the hurried Nian beast and suspects trouble. As they chase the Nian beast through various animated worlds, the characters eventually reach a point of mutual understanding where the Nian beast recognizes its mistake. Through forgiveness and cooperation, the characters learn and embody the values of fairness, honesty, kindness, harmony, politeness, compassion, and lawfulness, working together to overcome obstacles and return to the Animation Park to join the New Year festivities.
