Drossel, a noble heiress belonging to the long-standing aristocratic House of Flügel, lives in a castle known as the Tower of Tempest. She shares her home with Gedächtnis, a large robotic butler who has served the family for generations. He holds deep reverence for Drossel’s late father and faithfully looks after her as her caretaker. Having grown up together, Drossel too cares for Gedächtnis. They spend their time engaging in supposedly intellectually stimulating conversations, which are occasionally disrupted by unexpected and bizarre events.
In this installment
In the distant future, on an unremarkable planet, humans have been fighting a long war against mechanical aristocrats called Hyperion. The story follows Drossel, a Hyperion and the daughter of Duke von Flügel, along with her butler Gedächtnis, as they live in the Tower of Tempest, isolated from the rest of the world. Their daily routine consists of dealing with various troubles that arise in their towering castle-tower while they wait for the day the stars realign themselves.
