In this installment

During the third year of the Daye period, unrest swept across the frontier as Emperor Yang of Sui launched a northern campaign to reinforce control over the western territories. At the urging of an old companion, the escort Dao Ma escorted rebel leader Zhi Shilang to Chang'an to assist him in his effort to bring peace to the fractured nation. But a malevolent gaze closely monitored Dao Ma's movements. As past memories converged with looming dangers, Dao Ma's involvement triggered a violent upheaval within the martial arts world.
