Synopsis

In a near-future world where 10% of the population consists of Humanoids—advanced machines with artificial intelligences that emulate human traits and can be identified by their distinctive sideways pupils—the demand for specialized healthcare grows. By day, Dr. Hikaru Sudou runs a clinic catering specifically to Humanoids, while at night, under the alias Moggadeet, he performs unauthorized procedures and investigates the disappearance of his mother. Hikaru handles various unusual cases within this rapidly changing society, such as a Humanoid grappling with her sense of self in light of her backup data, a teenage Humanoid struggling to enhance her athletic abilities, and a robotic teddy bear that retains memories from its past owners. As technology advances, deep philosophical questions about the nature of humanity emerge, blurring the lines between Humanoids and humans.
