Synopsis
In the village of Old Home, a young Haibane named Rakka emerges from a cocoon, lacking any memories or understanding of her new environment. She is given her name based on the dream of falling she experienced while in the cocoon, and she begins to adapt to the peculiar town. The Haibane are bound by strict rules: they must not venture beyond the village or near its confining walls. These restrictions, combined with the mysterious departures of Haibane on their "Day of Flight," increasingly disturb Rakka and her companions, who remain largely unaware of their true nature. Struggling with amnesia, Rakka and the other Haibane strive to break free from their past hardships and achieve redemption.
