Synopsis
In the anime "Tight-rope," Naoki Satoya has been Ryuunosuke "Ryu" Oohara's closest friend and confidant since childhood, even though many of their peers avoid them because of Ryu's ties to the powerful Oohara yakuza organization. As Ryu nears the time to take over as the head of the clan from his father, he unexpectedly announces his wish to become a train conductor instead, seeking a peaceful life with Naoki. The Oohara family, unwilling to see their legacy disappear, asks Naoki to convince Ryu to change his mind. But when Ryu remains firm even after Naoki's attempts to persuade him, Naoki starts to suspect there may be deeper reasons behind Ryu's choice.
