Synopsis
Continues the story of Wu Geng Ji
In Zhao Ge, ruled by the Shang dynasty, Emperor Zi Zhou rebels against the gods, spurning their power and contesting their supremacy. The furious deities subsequently incite Wu Jifa, ruler of an adjacent domain, to attack the Shang for their defiance. As the conflict intensifies, the Shang army nears collapse. When the capital is on the verge of being taken, Zhou appears, battling through the hostile soldiers to confront Jifa directly. In the turmoil, a divine being descends from the sky, arriving before Zhou with the purpose of killing him alone.

Wu Geng Ji: Tianqi marks the second season of the series. Set during the final days of ancient China's Shang dynasty, Emperor Shou defies the divine will by openly declaring his intent to lead the people in resistance against the gods. Zi Shou courageously battles Tian Kui, yet the deities observing from above respond only with laughter. He is subsequently slain by Tian, a superior god, who also shatters the Immortal Phoenix armor. Wu Geng awakens within the body of Ah Gou, discovering he now has a wife named Bai Cai.
