Golden Time

Synopsis

In Japan during the 1980s bubble economy years, a long-serving, furniture-style television set manufactured in the 1960s is abandoned at a junkyard. It makes an attempt to escape from its unfamiliar new surroundings. This theatrically-released short film comes from production company ROBOT, the creators of La Maison en Petits Cubes, which won the Best Animated Short Film Oscar at the 2009 Academy Awards. Additionally, the film won an Excellence Award in the animation category at the 2013 Japan Media Arts Festival.
