Memory of Chang'an

Synopsis

Princess Emela sets out from Xiyue for Chang'an to wed Li Qiang, the ninth prince of the Tang dynasty, who is composed and serious. Before reaching her destination, she is ambushed by rebels. Overcoming these dangers is only one of her challenges; she must also find a way to bond with her distant husband. After their marriage, she takes the name Li Mingyue and vows to make the alliance succeed in order to protect her homeland from turmoil. In a court rife with deceit and schemes that threaten the fragile peace, the couple must navigate the intricate demands of both their official duties and personal lives.
