Synopsis

Continues the story of I'm Joybo

Jiang Xiaobai has lived with amnesia ever since a traumatic event ten years ago that he cannot recall. Working as an intern at Wen Zheng Magazine's Editorial Office No.2 in Chongqing, he eagerly counts down the final two days of his probation period, after which he will become a full editor. He dismisses a recurring dream featuring a girl whose face remains indistinct. That same night, a senior colleague assigns Jiang Xiaobai the task of meeting the eccentric, rising author Tong Li at the airport; she has returned from the United States to begin her first serialized novel in Chinese. As payback for his senior dodging the responsibility, Jiang Xiaobai becomes Tong Li's new editor. Though their first interactions prove difficult, Tong Li starts to see Jiang Xiaobai as someone familiar from her high school days. Unbeknownst to him, fate begins to shift, and Jiang Xiaobai starts discovering clues about a forgotten girl from his past.

In this installment

Jiang Xiaobai has recovered his lost memories, making it hard for Tong Li to look him in the eye. The two must now face the unresolved truths from ten years ago concerning the band September, a group to which both Jiang Xiaobai and Mu Xiyu dedicated their youth. They also confront the tangled love triangle between Jiang Xiaobai, Mu Xiyu, and Tong Li, along with the painful events that led to the band's formation and the tragic incident that took place on the day Tong Li left for America. Can Jiang Xiaobai and Tong Li make peace with their past and discover a path forward together?
