Synopsis

Juan "Johnny" Rico, a teenager attending high school in Buenos Aires, enlists in the Federation military in order to follow his love, Carmen, into space. He endures grueling training far more intense than he imagined, yet after a number of setbacks and harrowing experiences, he pushes through and completes his training. But a war is erupting on the frontier planets against a strange alien species, and Johnny is thrown directly into the conflict.
