Synopsis

Thirteen years ago, the He family was slaughtered inside a mutton soup restaurant in the Gobi Desert, leaving only the young He Fangzhi alive. He Fangzhi later sets out for revenge against the killers: Luo Tong, Hong Niang, the Unjust Monk, Long Shun, and Uncle Jian. The events of that night bring to light the hidden motivations and personal ambitions of every member of the killing squad, forcing Uncle Jian into a painful choice between "family and nation" and "loyalty and duty." In the aftermath of the bloodshed, will they accomplish what they intended? Was Uncle Jian's sacrifice ultimately worth it...?
