Synopsis
After losing his mother at a young age, Uryuu Kamihate grew skeptical of gods and religion, seeing no worth in faith. His sole aim is to become a doctor, and he pours his efforts into studying for admission to Kyoto University. To secure a quiet place to live away from the noisy orphanage where he grew up, Uryuu takes up a housing offer from Chidori Amagami, the head priest of Amagami Shrine. In return, he will reside with Chidori’s three granddaughters—Yae, Yuna, and Asahi—who work as shrine maidens. A further condition exists: Uryuu must wed one of the sisters to secure the shrine’s legacy and eventually take over its operation. Given the conflict between Uryuu’s aspirations and the sisters’ spiritual beliefs, fulfilling this requirement seems challenging.
