
Synopsis
In the prime of his gymnastics career, Joutarou Aragaki—nicknamed Samurai for his distinctive hairstyle—suffers a shoulder injury following the loss of his wife. Five years later, despite being a member of Japan's national gymnastics team, his rigorous training fails to restore his form. His coach, Noriyuki Amakusa, recommends that he retire from competition. Joutarou brings his spirited and supportive nine-year-old daughter, Rei, to Ego Wonderland to share the news of his impending retirement. However, their visit takes an unexpected twist when they encounter a peculiar boy who introduces himself as a ninja named Leonardo. Leonardo follows them home and constantly interrupts Joutarou's attempts to tell Rei about his decision to retire. Realizing that Leonardo wishes to witness one more performance from him, Joutarou surprises the country by announcing his refusal to retire. He dedicates himself to the most challenging endeavor of his career, determined to prove his place in the gymnastics world.
