Synopsis
Konoha Akisato dreams of becoming a celebrated artist, driven by her deep passion for bishoujo games—visual novels focused on romantic encounters with charming female characters. Her goal hits a wall when she lands her first position as a junior illustrator at Blue Bell in 2023, only to discover an industry flooded with low-quality, cliché titles, with Blue Bell leading that trend. Konoha's perspective shifts after a visit to a retro game store, where she reflects on the superior craftsmanship of older games. This contemplation accidentally triggers a time-slip, sending her back to 1992—the dawn of the bishoujo game boom. Initially bewildered by her new surroundings, Konoha manages to find work as an illustrator at Alcohol Soft, a small yet ambitious studio. Though she believes her future knowledge will guarantee success, she quickly learns the technological and artistic limitations of the 1990s. To achieve her ambitions, she must rapidly adapt to these historical constraints and master her craft within the era's boundaries.
